Springfield Platform Tennis Association

Springfield Open results appear on a separate page.

In 2003-2004, Springfield's hardcore traveling squad managed to hit tournaments in Milwaukee, Chicago, Cincinnati, Kansas City, Indianapolis, and St. Louis. Our best showing was St. Louis, where we fielded four or five teams, including a couple for the 90's on Friday. No road victories, though one local team managed to place 9th at the Illinois States and 3rd in St. Louis. No major physical injuries to the traveling squad - a well-balanced diet of Bextra & beer (vitamins B-1 and B-2, though not necessarily in that order)kept the blood thin and flowing - and no one suffered more than the usual mental injuries associated with riding the paddle circuit.

In spite of the personalities of Springfield Paddle's ambassadors, hopefully we drummed up some support for our tourney.
